We spent 6 months testing lid seals on 4 different prototypes. The winner uses a three-point silicone gasket that creates a watertight seal without making the lid hard to open. We dropped it, tossed it, and even ran it over with a car. Not a single drop leaked.
Why 20oz?
Most tumblers are either too small (12oz — you're refilling by 10AM) or too big (32oz — doesn't fit cupholders). 20oz is the sweet spot: enough coffee to get through the morning, small enough to fit in a backpack side pocket.
